INTC Preserves Isan Heritage through Tung Craftsmanship for Udon Thani Horticultural Expo 2026
Lecturers, staff, and students of the International College (INTC), Udon Thani Rajabhat University, joined together to make traditional Isan “Tung” decorative flags at the university’s Office of Arts and Culture. The activity formed part of the project “One Million Tung, One Million Hearts: Connecting Hearts for the Horticultural Expo.” The handcrafted flags will be presented to Udon Thani Province to help create a vibrant welcome for visitors to the Udon Thani Horticultural Expo 2026.
Working side by side, participants learned about a traditional handicraft that reflects the beliefs, way of life, and cultural identity of Isan communities. The activity offered an opportunity to share local knowledge while strengthening collaboration among INTC lecturers, staff, and students.
Through this initiative, INTC reaffirms its commitment to preserving local arts and culture and encouraging cultural awareness, pride, and community engagement. Each Tung represents both the region’s artistic heritage and the collective spirit of those helping Udon Thani welcome visitors from around the world.
